How can I filter evaluation responses in the Analyse section?

To apply a filter to evaluation responses, so that eg only those that have responded in a particular way to a question are shown, follow these steps:

  1. On the Manage Evaluations page, click the [Analyse] icon located to the right of the title of your evaluation. This takes you to an overview of evaluation responses.

  2. Click the [Filter Responses] button located alongside the response overview data. This takes you to the Response Filter List page.

  3. Click the [Insert Filter] button.

  4. Choose the question(s) to be filtered and select the response criteria. Using the dropdown menu at the top of the page you can also choose whether responses should 'match all filters' or 'match any filter'.

  5. Ensure that the ‘Active’ tickbox is selected for all filters you wish to apply, then click the [Save] button at the bottom of the page. This will return you to the Responses Overview page where only the responses that match your filters will be shown.


Any active filters created in the Analyse section will also apply to data exported using the Download function.

Filters created in the Analyse section will not apply to reports you create. You must create new filters when creating the report. Click on the link below for more information:
